Che, a young mum from Birmingham and the founder of Young Parent Talks, has been sharing her personal story with students in schools, colleges and youth organisations for almost nine years.

After her teenage years were disrupted by an unplanned pregnancy and an abusive relationship, Che found herself with little direction, ambition or confidence in her future. At the time, she believed that having a baby would be the "easy option". However, she soon realised the reality of parenthood and struggled with the responsibilities that came with raising a child at a young age.

​

Determined to create a better future for herself and her child, Che worked hard to rebuild her life. She later began working with a charity, sharing her experiences in schools. It was through this work that she discovered her passion for educating others about the realities of teenage pregnancy and young parenthood.

In 2022, Che founded Young Parent Talks, bringing together a team of young parents who deliver interactive and engaging workshops in schools across the UK. Through honest conversations and real-life experiences, the team help pupils understand the realities, challenges and responsibilities of teenage pregnancy and parenthood.
